Are you identical or fraternal twins? Find out with a DNA Twin Test.

This DNA Twin Test provides a conclusive way to determine whether twins are identical or fraternal. Identical twins share the same DNA profile, while fraternal twins share approximately 50% of their DNA. This test can also be used for triplets, quadruplets, and other multiple births.

Easily collect a painless mouth swab at home and send it to our accredited lab for analysis. Your results will be securely available online, by mail, or via email.

Understanding Your DNA Test Results

Your results will include two numbers (alleles) for each STR, representing the repeats inherited from each parent. These alleles may be identical or different at each marker. By comparing these numbers between the individuals, the test conclusively determines whether the twins are identical or fraternal.

How It Works

HIV SYMPTOMS

Acute Stage

Many individuals are unaware that they have HIV in the first few months, as they do not display any symptoms, or only experience mild symptoms (e.g. headache, sore throat, fatigue). As the viral load increases, other symptoms usually appear. Individuals in the acute stage are

Clinical Latency Stage

This stage, also known as chronic HIV infection, is marked by a much slower rate of viral replication. Many individuals show no symptoms during this period, though the virus remains active in the body. Without treatment, people in this stage can still transmit HIV to others.

AIDS

Without effective treatment, HIV gradually weakens the immune system, progressing to AIDS. This stage is characterized by severe immune dysfunction and increased vulnerability to opportunistic infections and conditions, such as:

No problem! The kit can be split, with sample collection components sent separately to each address. Each component is individually barcoded to ensure accurate testing once all samples arrive at the lab.

To request a split kit, simply add the following note in the “Order Notes” box during checkout: “Please split kit.” Be sure to include the names and addresses for each recipient, such as:

  • Send the Alleged Grandparent’s portion to… (specify name and address).
  • Send the Child’s portion to… (specify name and address).

DNA test kits can be kept at room temperature both before and after sample collection.

No, the test kits do not expire and can be stored indefinitely before sample collection. However, once samples are collected, they should be sent for testing within three months.

The DNA sample is obtained by gently swabbing the inside of the cheek for 30 seconds. This process is quick, painless, and completely safe.
